Based on a high Regency settee that Max bought from a country house in the West Country. This is a generous, really comfortable, yet formal settee of grand scale. The frame is made traditionally using only solid beech and all the joints are mortice and tenon. This sofa is webbed and upholstered using traditional methods, with square boxed brass castors, which were sand cast to copies from the original. The legs are made in American red walnut, antiqued and polished to match the antique.
