A mid 18th Chinese lacquered cabinet on stand, embellished to the doors and sides with weeping willows, pergodas, mountains and rivers, having gilt metal lock plate and carry handles. The two panelled doors opening to conforming architectural interior fitted with numerous drawers, pierced and decorated slides, balustrade columns and niches. Sitting on separate table stand with pierced trellis apron raised on angular supports and ball and claw feet, decorated with leaves, flowers and stylised fret motifs.
A very similar cabinet on stand may be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
