Based on a sofa manufactured by Gillows for Uppark, a fantastic Queen Anne house perched ontop of the Sussex Downs, and now in the care of the National Trust. The model shown has a bolster cushion and white painted legs, but can also be made with hand-turned mahogany legs expertly finished to match the antique. The frame is made traditionally using only solid beech and all the joints are mortice and tenon. The frame is webbed and upholstered using traditional methods and can either have a single hair wrap seat, or alternatively can be upholstered with feather and down filled cushions on back, sides and seat. Fabric, finish, upholstery choice and dimensions can all be adjusted according to client's requirements.
Single seat cushion option requires 11m of fabric (plain and standard width). Price exclusive of fabric, but includes upholstery costs.
